The Orienting

Environmental Dimensionality

When an animal senses a change in its environment, it responds by looking for the source of the disturbance… The animal orients itself toward a potential mate or source of food, and away from danger.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PRACTICE…

If the other two practices, that were more focused on the internal experience, felt intense or a bit too much then you can use the orienting practice to support yourself in the previous ones. To combine the orienting with the comfort zone or the felt sense is a way of undulating between inner and outer awareness.

When you do this practice please choose a room, or place, where you can move around a bit. You will do short walking practice in the session.

We won’t use the sense of taste in this session, but you can add that when you eat your next meal :) Take some time to really taste the food.
